Our BDE Josh Windatt helps raise £5000.00 for Cancer Research!
Sponsored runs, skydiving, raffles… you might imagine that even a bake sale would be more fitting for WorldBake to do their part for charity, but supposedly that’ll have to wait until next time! We’re extremely proud of Josh Windatt who undertook eight weeks of grueling training to enter the ring, simultaneously helping promote awareness and money for ‘Cancer Research UK’. Over five-hundred spectators bought tickets to watch an evening of boxing helping raise a magnificent £5000.00. Wearing down the edge of our seats, friends, family and colleagues watched as Josh went from marginally losing the first two rounds to throwing a knock-out punch in the third! It was an absolutely stunning performance and was fantastic to see all his hard work pay off.
We asked him if he was relieved it was over and with a smile were told “thank the heavens I can finally lie in from now on!!!”. Being good sports we proceeded to send him up to Scotland the week after!
